Edinboro, Pa. – Edinboro dropped a 18-7 result to Daemen on Thursday evening in their last non-conference matchup of the season. Despite a spirited second half performance, Edinboro were unable to overturn the deficit created by Daemen after a strong second quarter by the Wildcats.
On the night
Caroline Zentis led the Edinboro scoring with three goals from four shots.
Emma Lamica contributed with two goals and an assist.
Rylee Jones and
Traci Culver each added a goal to their season tally's, with Jones also picking up an assist.
Lexi Boyk and
Abigail Juzwick each had two groundballs alongside two caused turnovers.
Savannah Fischer led with three groundballs in goal for Edinboro, making five saves in the game.
The first two quarters of the game saw Daemen lead 12-3. Edinboro fought hard in the second half with the scoring ending 6-4. A tale of two half's which saw Daemen over the line to victory, but left positives for Edinboro who played hard to the last second.
Edinboro travel to Lock Haven on Saturday for a 1 p.m. start where they return to PSAC action.
