Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's soccer team fell 3-1 to visiting Gannon Wednesday evening at Sox Harrison Stadium.
After the teams played a scoreless first half, Victoria Wheeler put the Golden Knights up 1-0 with an unassisted tally in the 52
nd minute.
The Scots pulled back to level when a scramble off a free kick found the foot of
Sophia Depew in the 70
th minute.
Gannon grabbed the lead when Ella Fadale finished a Brooklyn Respecki cross in the 82
nd minute. Fadale would round out the scoring in the 86
th minute with a goal off a Gabby Boden corner.
The Scots tallied six shots on the night with
Emily Vogel recording two. Hayden Paxton,
Jenna Jackson and
Jillian Ball each recorded a shot on goal.
Kaylee Lauriel took the loss in net making seven saves on the night.
The Scots return to action on Saturday when they travel to California, Pa. to take on the Vulcans at 2 p.m.
