Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro men's basketball team rallied in the second half to score a 100-95 victory over visiting Pitt-Johnstown Saturday afternoon in PSAC West action inside McComb Fieldhouse.
The Scots trailed 67-54 after an Andy Zuchelli triple at the 16:25 mark of the second half.
Bernie Blunt answered with a trey of his own and Jack Gallaher made a layup to trim the lead to 57-59. Will Kromka hit a jumper to push the lead back to double digits, 69-59.

Easton Fulmer on the break for a basket and the foul trimming the lead to 69-64 with 13:25 to play in the game.
At 13:07, Blunt hit a 3-pointer to cut the advantage to 69-67. The teams traded empty possessions before Wilcott knotted the game 69 all with a jumper at 11:41. The Scots held a 75-73 after a Blunt jumper at 9:42, but UPJ answered with a 7-0 sparked by five points from Ryan Smith to grab an 80-75 advantage.
JJ Eubank ended the run with a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 80-78, but Gavin Headings pushed the lead to 86-82 with a jumper with 4:53 remaining in the half. Another Eubank triple and a Blunt jumper in the lane gave Edinboro the lead back 87-86 with 3:58 to go.
Smith gave the Mountain Cats the lead back with baseline jumper, but two Seye free throws and a
Will Taylor layup made it 91-88 with 2:26 remaining. Blunt nailed a triple with 1:27 to play that pushed the Edinboro lead to 94-88. UPJ would get as close as three, 98-95, with 10 seconds on the clock, but a pair of Taylor free throws iced the win for the Scots.
Edinboro found themselves down 15, 31-16, midway through the first half. They chipped away with a 10-4 run cutting the advantage to 35-26 after a Fulmer 3-pointer at the 6:39 mark. UPJ pushed the lead back out to 48-36 with 2:56 on the clock on a Headings layup. The Scots closed the half on a 12-5 run getting six points form Wilcott to cut the halftime deficit to 53-48.
Four Scots reached double figures led by 26 from Blunt. He also recorded five rebounds and six assists. Gallagher added 16 points, seven boards and four helpers. Taylor tallied 13 points and five rebounds off the bench. Eubank was the fourth Scot in double figures with 11 points.
Headings led UPJ with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Zuchelli added 17 points and six helpers while Smith notched 16 points.
The Scots travel to Mercyhurst on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. matchup with the Lakers.
