Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro men's swim team fell 107-86 at Shippensburg on Friday before falling to Gannon 154-71.
Against Shippensburg, the 200-yard medley relay team of
Armando Apigna,
Jacob Bettano,
Elijah Innis and
Ted Kinney posted a second-place finish with a time of 1:37.89.
Innis would follow that up with a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 51.12 qualifying him for the PSAC Championships.
Jake Hillibush also scored first-place points in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.65.
Christian Connell was second to Hillibush with a time of 1:05.21 and Bettano was third in 1:05.52.
Kevin Santos posted a time of 17:42.23 in the 1,650-yard freestyle to place second. Kinney also posted a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.90.
Apigna touched the wall in a time of 54.87 in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 54.87 while
Braden Hain was second in the 100-yard freestyle in 48.73.
In the dual with Gannon, Apigna, Bettano, Innis and
Frank Barger teamed up to finish second in the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:38.19.
Tommy Collins tallied a first-place swim in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:58.22. Innis posted a time of 46.85 in the 100-yard freestyle to take home first place.
Apigna touched the wall in 1:59.19 in the 200-yard backstroke to earn a first-place finish. Kinney added a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 22.24.
The Scots finished the meet with a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay as Innis, Barger, Collins and Kinney turned in a time of 3:16.10.
The Scots are back in action next Saturday when they swim in the PennWest Duals at Clarion.
