Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro men's basketball team started fast and carried play the entire game earning a 120-63 victory over Penn State DuBois Tuesday afternoon inside McComb Fieldhouse.
The Scots came out of the gates firing going 6-for-7 from beyond the arc in the first six minutes of the game to build a 24-6 lead.
Penn State DuBois scored the next six points to cut the lead to 24-15, but the Scots answered with a 15-4 spurt to push the lead to 39-19. The Nittany Lions would get as close as 45-28 after a pair of Kaleb Pryor free throws before Edinboro finished the half on a 20-8 run to take a 65-36 lead into the break.
In the second half, the Scot lead never fell below 26 as the offense continued to score outpacing the Nittany Lions 55-27 in the second frame.
Bryce Baez led the Scots in scoring with 25 points to go with eight rebounds and two assists.
Evan Berger stuffed the stat sheet going for 22 points, seven steals, five assists and a rebound while shooting 8-of-13 from the field.
Michael Dunn tallied 19 points shooting 6-of-10 from beyond the arc.
Cenkar Evran continued his double-double steak scoring 17 points while also grabbing 15 rebounds in just 26 minutes of work.
Daunte Wilcott also reached double figure scoring with 10 points, three steals and two rebounds.
Ashton Fortson led the Nittany Lion offense with 19 points to go with three rebounds and two steals. Pryor tallied 12 points and four assists.
The Scots return to action on Friday when they open PSAC play against Kutztown. Game time is slated for 5 p.m. inside McComb Fieldhouse.
