Women’s Lacrosse Falls at IUP

Indiana, Pa. – The Edinboro women's lacrosse team dropped a 17-5 decision to host IUP Saturday afternoon in PSAC West action.
 
How it Happened
The Crimson Hawks jumped out to a 6-0 lead with 4:59 left in the first quarter. Marissa Birchard stopped the run at 4:30 with a goal assisted by Angelina Anderson. IUP scored the next three goals to close out the first quarter up 9-1.
 
The Crimson Hawks scored the first three goals of the second before Rylee Jones netted an unassisted goal with 6:38 to play in the second. Leah Moyer scored with 4:46 on the clock in the second to send IUP into the break up 13-2.
 
A pair of goals in the third made it 15-2 IUP. Jacqui Detelich scored the first goal of the fourth th cut the lead to 15-3. The Crimson Hawks scored a pair of goals before Detelich and Anderson scored to set the final.
 
Stat Leaders
Detelich led the offense with a pair of goals. Jones and Anderson also tallied two points on the day with a goal and an assist each.
 
In Net
Addy Ours took the loss in net making six saves in three quarters of work. Sydney Kosko made two stops in her one quarter of relief.
 
Up Next
The Scots are back in action on Tuesday when they play host to Mercyhurst. Game time is slated for 4 p.m. inside Sox Harrison Stadium.
