Erie, Pa. -- The Edinboro lacrosse squad dropped a 17-10 decision to host Gannon Saturday night in PSAC West action.
How it Happened
Gannon scored the first four goals of the game before
Jacqui Detelich got the Scots on the board at the 7:24 mark of the first quarter. The Golden Knights extended the lead to 6-1, but
Traci Culver and Olivia Kaminisky scored back to back to trim the lead to 6-3. At the half, Gannon held a 15-5 lead at the half.
Each team scored once in the third to make it 16-6 heading to the final frame. The Scots mounted a comeback outscoring the Golden Knights 4-1 in the fourth, but couldn't overcome the early deficit.
Statistical Leaders
Detelich led the Scots with four points on four goals. Culver scored a pair of goals while
Rylee Jones,
Marissa Birchard and
Angelina Anderson each tallied two points on a goal and an assist.
Addy Ours made 10 saves playing all 60 minutes in net and taking the loss in the cage.
