Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro men's swim team earned a 135-29 victory over visiting Allegheny Saturday afternoon inside McComb Fieldhouse.
The 200-yard medley relay team of
Matthew Shollenberger,
Christian Connell,
Frank Barger and
Adrian Fikry Reina got the Scots out to a fast start with a first-place finish in a time of 1:41.44.
Barger and
Brian Bell took the top two spots in the 200-freestyle with times of 1:54.56 and 1:56.07 respectively. The Scots claimed the top three spots in the 100-backstroke with
Elijah Innis touching the wall in 54.97,
Braden Hain turning in a 55.34 and Schollenberger finishing in 56.39.
Jake Hillibush touched the wall in 1:01.15 to take first in the 100-breaststroke just besting Connell who finished in 1:01.37.
Tommy Collins took first in the 200-butterfly with a time of 1:58.48. Hain took the top spot in the 50-freestyle with a time of 22.40 just ahead of
Kasey Stanton who touched the wall in 22.61. Innis picked up his second first-place swim of the day in the 100-freestyle with a time of 50.61.
Bell posted a first-place finish in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:08.17. Connell grabbed a first in the 200-breaststroke finishing in 2:18.79. Innis' third first-place swim came in the 100-butterfly in a time of 54.48. Collins rounded out the individual events with a first-place finish in the 200 individual medley in a time of 2:09.60.
The relay team of Stanton, Barger, Hain and Innis closed out the meet with time of 1:28.10 to win the 200-freestyle relay.
The Scots are back in action next Saturday when they host the PennWest Duals inside McComb Fieldhouse. It will be senior day and swimming begins at 1 p.m.
