Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's basketball team ran away from visiting Bryant & Stratton 113-41 Wednesday night in non-conference action inside McComb Fieldhouse.
The Scots spread the scoring with seven different players reaching double figures led by 17 points each from
Morgan Gentile and
Hope Garrity.
With the score tied 4-4 at the 8:10 mark, Edinboro 10 straight points led by four points from Gentile to build a 14-4 lead. After a pair of Bobcat free throws, the Scots went on a 19-4 run to close the first and take a 33-10 lead into the second.
The Scots continued to dominate the game in the second outscoring the Bobcats 31-6 to build the lead to 64-16 at the break.
The lead never fell below 50 in the second half as Edinboro pulled away for the non-conference win.
The Scots shot 57.7 percent from the field and 41.0 percent from beyond the arc. Edinboro held a 59-25 advantage on the glass.
In addition to Gentile and Garrity,
Jess Hetz and
Hayley Sims tallied 13 points each.
Rachael Manfredo also tallied 13 points to go with a game-high 14 rebounds.
Ava Haddad and
Ashten Boggs notched 12 points each.
Mia Richardson led the Bobcats with 14 points and nine rebounds. Ryann Greenfield finished with 13 points and six boards.
The Scots are back in action next Wednesday with a trip to Seton Hill. Tip off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
