Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's soccer team will play a pair of PSAC West contests taking on Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday and then hosting Slippery Rock on Saturday.
The Games
The Scots travel to Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. kick off with the Mountain Cats. The game will be broadcast on the PSAC Digital Network and live stats will be available. On Saturday, Edinboro plays host to Slippery Rock. Game time is slated for 5 p.m. Live stats are available for fans that can't make it to Sox Harrison Stadium and the game will be live on the PSAC Digital Network.
Last Time Out
The Scots dropped a 4-0 decision to IUP last Wednesday.
Devin Keidel led the Fighting Scot offense with three shots.
Brianna Garey made five saves in 70 minutes between the posts.
Jada Cole
The freshman forward has been one of the nation's leading scorers. She ranks fifth in Division II and second in the PSAC in total goals at 10. Her 1.0 goals per game is also fifth in the nation. She has tallied four game-winning goals to rank seventh in the country.
PSAC Standings
The Scots are in the thick of the PSAC postseason race after one trip through the PSAC West. They have 12 points in seven conference contests putting them in fourth in the league standings. All other members of the conference have played eight games with Gannon and Slippery Rock atop the standings with 22 and 21 points respectively. IUP has 19 points in third and Clarion is fifth right behind the Scots with seven.
Pitt-Johnstown
The Mountain Cats are 1-4-4 overall and 1-4-2 in PSAC West play after playing to a 0-0 draw with California (PA) last Wednesday. Maddie Barrick leads the offense with nine points on four goals and one assist. Sarah Henry adds two goals and two assists for six points. Emma Morin has made six starts in net with a 2.21 goals-against average and a .690 save percentage.
Slippery Rock
The Rock is 7-3 overall and 7-1 in PSAC West play and are coming off a 1-0 win over California (PA) on Saturday. Marissa Salisbury leads the offense with 14 points on six goals and two assists. Abby Paterline chips in three goals and three assists for nine points.
