New Wilmington, Pa. – The Edinboro men's swimming team topped host Westminster 153-81 on Friday night.
The Scots got off to a fast start in the meet with
Braden Hain,
Jake Hillibush,
Andrew Ketler and
Cade Tysinger taking first in the 200-medley relay in a time of 1:38.70. Brian Bell,
Christian Connell,
Caleb Ludlow and
Kasey Stanton took second in 1:42.87.
Edinboro went one-two in the 1000-freestyle. Rafael DeSousa was first to touch the wall in 10:35.51
Troy Hickman was right behind him in 10:57.14 to place second. Ludlow brought home the top spot in the 200-freestyle in a time of 1:54.01.
In the 100-backstroke, Bell was second in a time of 57.03 while
Matthew Shollenberger turned in a time of 59.61 placing third. Hillibush took first in the 100-breaststroke in a time of 1:02.23 while Connell touched in 1:03.14 to take second.
In the 200-butterfly, Ketler claimed the top spot in 2:00.01 with Tysinger posting a time of 2:04.42 to place second. Hain swam a 21.71 in the 50-freestyle to earn first and Stanton was third in a time of 23.47. DeSousa swam a 50.29 in the 100-free to earn first. Tysinger was second in 50.82.
Bell continued his solid night finishing second in the 200-backstroke in 2:05.37. Ludlow touched the wall first in the 200-breaststroke in a time of 2:17.47. Ketler brought home first place in the 500-freestyle in a time of 5:03.14.
In the 100-fly, Tysinger swam a 55.09 to place first. Ludlow added a first-place swim in the 200 IM in 2:04.72.
In the final event of the meet, DeSousa, Ketler, Bell and Hain teamed up to take first in the 200-freestyle relay in a time of 1:28.71.
The Scots return to McComb Fieldhouse on Friday when they host Ashland at 6 p.m.
