Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with visiting Clarion Saturday afternoon inside Sox Harrison Stadium.
 
It was a physical, back-and-forth contest from the start. Emily Vogel broke through for the Scots gathering a loose ball and sending it over the keeper from 30 yards out in the 26^th minute. Edinboro would take a 1-0 lead on the scoreboard and a 7-3 advantage in shots into the break.
 
Ciara DiMauro tied the game in the 54^th minute when a misplay from the Scots in the box found her foot knotting the score 1-1.
 
Both teams had chances late in the game including Sonoka Shiokawa hitting the crossbar in the 88^th minute for the Scot but the game ended in the 1-1 tie.
 
Vogel paced the attack adding three more shots and a pair on goal to her score. Samantha Saylor added three shots, two on goal. Brianna Garey made six saves in net for the Scots.
 
The Scots close out the regular season on Wednesday when they host IUP at 7 p.m. inside Sox Harrison Stadium.
