Lock Haven, Pa. -- After an all-around performance on Saturday,
Nate Deanes was named PSAC West Defensive Player of the Week announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Deanes was all over the field for the Scots as they stifled Seton Hill in a 22-6 victory on Saturday. He finished the day with nine solo tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery he returned for a touchdown.
In the first quarter, Seton Hill appeared to convert a third down to advance the ball into the red zone, but Deanes put his helmet on the ball and
Montrice Webster recovered giving the Scots possession. In the fourth, Deanes was in the right spot when Ky'Ron Craggette fumbled scooping the ball and taking it back 70 yards for a touchdown to push the Edinboro lead to 22-0.
The Scots are back in action on Saturday when they host Slippery Rock at noon inside Sox Harrison Stadium.
