Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro men's swim team notched a 147-112 win over visiting Roberts Wesleyan in dual meet action on Saturday.
The Scots got off to a fast start in the 200-medley relay with
Braden Hain,
Caleb Ludlow, Andrew Kettler and
Elijah Innis taking first in 1:38.42. The quartet of Brian Bell,
Jake Hillibush,
Cade Tysinger and
Kasey Stanton were second in 1:41.53.
Kettler posted a time of 10:22.25 in the 1,000-freestyle to take first-place honors.
Troy Hickman added a third-place swim of 10:54.60. Hain touched the wall in 1:47.56 in the 200-freestyle to place second.
Tyler Hill was third in a time of 1:53.00.
In the 100-backstroke, Bell posted a 57.58 to place second. Right behind him in third was
Matthew Shollenberger in 58.77. The Scots swept the top three spots in the 100-breaststroke led by Ludlow in 59.98.
Christian Connell was second in 1:01.18 just edging out Hillibush in 1:01.31. In the 200-butterfly, Rafael DeSousa took second in a time of 2:04.02.
Tysinger was the first to touch the wall in the 50-freestyle in 22.84. Stanton turned in a 23.50 to place second. Hain picked up a first-place swim in the 100-free posting a 47.85. DeSousa was second in 49.78. Hill swam a 2:04.54 in the 200-backstroke to place second. Bell was third with a time of 2:06.30.
In the 200-breaststroke, Connell claimed the top spot swimming a time of 2:13.61. Hill placed second in the 500-freestyle with a time of 5:11.58. Kettler grabbed the top spot in the 100-butterfly with a time of 52.43.
DeSousa turned in another first-place finish in the 200-IM with a time of 2:04.18. Hain, Innis, Tysinger and Kettler closed out the meet winning the 400-free relay in a time of 3:18.53.
The Scots wrap up the first semester in Youngstown State November 20-22.
