York, Pa. – The Edinboro women's swim team turned in a strong showing in the first two days of the PSAC Championships in York Monday and Tuesday.
The day two finals session started with the Edinboro 200 yard freestyle team of
Katelyn Reott,
Alexis Schrecongost,
Lillian Dilts and
Izzy Hanek finishing in third place with a time of 1:34.80 breaking the school record.
Eliza Miller swam an NCAA B cut time of 1:51.59 placing second 200-yard freestyle. The Scots 400 medley relay team of Reott, Schrecongost, Dilts and Miller placed fifth with a time of 3:56.38.
Dilts added 13 points to the team total finishing 14
th in the 100-yard butterfly with a swim of 58.66. Schrecongost also swam the 100-butterfly in the final taking 23
rd in a time of 59.83.
In the 400 individual medley,
Baila Bugara touched the wall in 4:50.10 to place 22
nd.
On day one, Miller, Cara Della Toffalo,
Avery Zuk and Schrecongost teamed up to swim the 800 freestyle relay in 7:45.78 to take fourth.
Edinboro placed two swimmers in the 50 freestyle final. Reott finished in 23.99 to place ninth with an NCAA B Cut time and the second-best mark in Edinboro history. Hanek was 11
th touching the wall in 24.28.
In the 1,000 freestyle, Della Toffalo was 21
st in a time of 11:14.85 and Bugara swam a 11:31.13 to finish 22
nd.
At the end of day two, the Scots are ninth with 245 points.
