York, Pa. – Led by a PSAC Championship swim from
Eliza Miller, the Edinboro women's swim team continued their strong performance climbing two spots to seventh at the 2025 PSAC Swim Championships in York.
The highlight of the night was in the 500-yard freestyle A final. Miller trailed by over a second and a half heading into the final two lengths of the races 20 laps. Coming from behind, she touched the wall in 5:00.81 finishing in a tie with West Chester's Danielle Steele to bring home a PSAC Championship and an NCAA B cut time. The 5:00.81 is the second fastest 500 freestyle in Edinboro history. Cara Della Toffalo finished the 500 in 22
nd with a time of 5:18.16.
The Scots 200 medley relay team also racked up points with
Katelyn Reott,
Alexis Schrecongost,
Lillian Dilts and
Izzy Hanek placing second in a time of 1:44.51.
Hanek came back in the 100-backstroke finishing in a time of 58.25 to take sixth. In the B final of the 100-backstroke, Reott placed 10
th with a time of 57.85.
Edinboro had a pair of finalists in the 100-breaststroke.
Emma Beggs posted a time of 1:06.50 to take seventh while Schrecongost was eighth in a time of 1:07.47.
Baila Bugara rounded out the night for the Scots with a 22
nd place finish in the 200-butterfly with a time of 2:18.13.
The Scots have tallied 432 points and sit in seventh place and are back in the pool tomorrow for the final day of the PSAC Championships.
