Women’s Lacrosse Falls to No. 15 Seton Hill

Greensburg, Pa. – The Edinboro women's lacrosse team dropped a 24-8 decision to No. 15 Seton Hill on Saturday afternoon in PSAC West action.
 
The Scots trailed 2-0 early after an Ella Wroblewski unassisted tally. Rylee Jones pulled Edinboro within 2-1 with an unassisted tally at the 9:52 mark of the first quarter. The Griffins responded with six straight goals to take an 8-1 lead with 1:29 left in the opening quarter. Jacqui Detelich trimmed the lead to 8-2 with a goal the 35 second mark. Skylar Orlowski scored with 5 second on the clock to make it 9-2 after the first.
 
Elena Traficante pushed the lead to 10-2 with a goal 33 seconds into the second quarter. Jones netted a goal at the 13:54 mark of the second to cut the lead to 10-3. Angelina Anderson scored 50 seconds later to trim the lead to 10-4. Mila Udovicic made it 11-4 at the 12:18 mark. Olivia Kaminsky scored at the 10:47 mark to cut the deficit to 11-5. Seton Hill finished the half with seven straight goals to take an 18-5 lead into the break.  
 
Kaminsky scored unassisted at the 8:33 mark of the third quarter to cut the lead to 18-6. Seton Hill scored the next three goals to hold a 21-6 after the third.
 
In the fourth, the Griffins scored the first three goals to grab a 24-6 lead with 6:33 to play. Detelich scored twice in the final five minutes to set the final at 24-8.
 
Jones finished the game with four points on two goals and two assists. Detelich scored a hat trick on five shots. Kaminisky tallied two goals while Anderson added a goal and a helper.
 
Addy Ours took the loss between the pipes making nine saves in 30 minutes of work.
 
The Scots are back in action on Wednesday when they host Gannon at 4 p.m.
