Edinboro, Pa. – A pair of Edinboro softball players were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team announced on Tuesday afternoon.
 
To be eligible, nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. Pitchers must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
 
 Sophomore Ashley Rose batted .241 with a double, eight RBI and 10 runs scored. She is majoring in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.
 
Senior Annalise Smith made 23 appearances going 2-5 with a 5.40 ERA. She pitched 63.1 innings, striking out 33 batters. She is majoring in Nursing.
