Slippery Rock, Pa. – The Edinboro soccer team fell 3-1 to host Slippery Rock Saturday afternoon in the Scots PSAC West opener at James Egli Field.
Marissa Salisbury opened the scoring for the Rock scoring in the 11
th minute assisted by Bailey McGee. The teams played scoreless the rest of the first half sending the Rock into the locker room up 1-0.
Jada Cole scored the equalizer for the Scots early in the second half finishing a pass from
Grace Madison to knot the score 1-1 in the 59
th minute.
Sophia Palermo put Slippery Rock back ahead with a goal in the 67
th minute. Abby Paterline finished the scoring in the 82
nd minute.
Cole led the offense with the goal on a pair of shots.

Maggie Hays all tallied a shot.
Brianna Garey made eight saves and took the loss in net.
The Scots return to action next Saturday when they host Pitt-Johnstown at 1 p.m. at Sox Harrison Stadium.
