Brianna Garey was named the PSAC West Defensive Player of the Week on Monday announced by the conference office.
Garey finished the week with a 1-1 record in net making 17 saves with a .850 save percentage and a 1.50 goals against average.
In the non-conference contest with Point Park, she made nine saves earning her second career shutout. Against Slippery Rock, Garey made eight saves in a 3-1 loss to the Rock.
The first goal for Slppery Rock broke a scoreless streak of 274:47 that dated all the way back to the season opener against Lake Erie.
The Scots are back in action on Saturday when they host UPJ.
