East Stroudsburg, Pa. – The Edinboro women's wrestling team had a pair of athletes compete at the PA Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships hosted by East Stroudsburg on Saturday.
Braylin Jones lead the Scot efforts finishing fourth at 138 pounds. In her opening match, Jones built a 6-4 lead before scoring a fall over Carney Wyble of East Stroudsburg. In the quarter finals, Jones won 12-0 via tech fall in the second period.
Jones dropped a 10-0 tech fall to East Stroudsburg's Ragan Retell. Jones bounced back with a fall in a rematch with Wyble to advance to the third-place match. In the third-place match, Angelina Hiller of East Stroudsburg scored a fall over Jones.
Heidi Gordon competed at 160 pounds. She dropped her opener via fall to East Stroudsburg's Jade Huerta. Angelica Ramos scored a fall over Gordon in the consolation round.
The Scots return to action on February 1 when they travel to the John Carroll Open.
