Meadville, Pa. – The Edinboro swim teams return to action on Friday at Allegheny in the final regular season meet before the PSAC Championships.
The Meet
The meet starts at 5 p.m. and will be
broadcast on the PAC Digital Network.
Men Last Time Out
Edinboro dropped a 115-90 dual to Clarion. The Scots opened the meet with
Braden Hain,
Jake Hillibush,
Andrew Ketler and
Elijah Innis teaming up for a first-place finish in the 200-medley relay in a time of 1:37.79. In the 1,000-freestyle,
Rafael De Sousa was third in a time of 10:16.26.
Tyler Hill touched the wall in 1:50.46 to place third in the 200-freestyle. Hain won the 50-freestyle in a time of 21.68.
Christian Connell swam a 2:06.19 in the 200-IM to place third. Ketler turned in a first-place swim in the 100-butterfly in 51.29.
De Sousa added a second-place finish in the 100-freestyle in 48.76. Hain posted his second first-place finish of the day with a 54.02 in the 100-backstroke. Hill swam a 5:01.68 in the 500-freestyle to take first.
Caleb Ludlow took second in the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:00.42. Hillibush was third touching the wall in 1:00.58. Ketler, Innis,
Cade Tysinger and De Sousa were second in the 200-freestyle relay in a time of 1:28.48.
Kasey Stanton,
Matthew Shollenberger, Brian Bell and Hillibush turned in a third-place swim of 1:32.22.
Women Last Time Out
The Edinboro women's swim team split the Penn West Duals defeating host California 158-46 and falling to Clarion 114-90.
The Scot quartet of
Katelyn Reott,
Alexis Schrecongost,
Lillian Dilts and
Izzy Hanek took first in the 200-medley relay in a time of 1:49.97.
Peyton Koballa placed third in the 1,000-freestyle with a time of 11:44.30. Edinboro took the top spot in the 200-freestyle with a
Eliza Miller posting a 1:52.94. Schrecongost was third in the 200 in a time of 2:00.64. Reott touched the wall in 24.40 in the 50-freestyle to take first. In the 100-butterfly, Dilts touched the wall in 1:00.43 to place third. Reott added second-place finish in the 100-freestyle in a time of 54.15.
In the 100-backstroke, Hanek placed first with a time of 1:00.97. Miller posted her second first-place swim of the afternoon with a 5:06.98 in the 500-freestyle.
Uxue Navarro was third with a time of 5:25.11. Schrecongost swam a 1:09.16 in the 100-breaststroke to take first while
Emma Beggs was third in a time of 1:10.44. The Scots closed out the meet with Hanek, Dilts,
Regan Repak and Miller finishing second in the 200-freestyle relay in a time of 1:39.42.
