Women’s Lacrosse Drops PSAC West Opener at Lock Haven

Lock Haven, Pa. – The Edinboro women's lacrosse team fell 19-7 to host Lock Haven Saturday afternoon in the PSAC West opener for both teams.
 
The Bald Eagles got out to a fast start scoring the first five goals of the game capped by a Makayla Kelly tally at the 6:04 mark of the first.
 
Olivia Kaminsky got the Scots on the board with an unassisted tally with 5:51 on the clock. Natalia Farr cut the lead to 5-2 with her goal at 2:26 of the first. Kelly scored with 26 seconds left in the first to send Lock Haven to the second leading 6-2.
 
Kelly scored the first goal of the second to push the lead to 7-2. Angelina Anderson scored for the Scots with 14:15 on the clock cutting the lead to 7-3. Lock Haven scored the next two goals to push the lead to 9-3 with 8:42 remaining in the second.
 
Kaminsky scored her second of the game with 5:16 to go in the second, but the Bald Eagles responded with a pair of goals to take an 11-4 advantage to the break.
 
Anderson scored the first goal of the second half just 45 seconds into the third cutting the lead to 11-5. The Bald Eagles extended the lead to 14-6 on a Lexi Bunk goal with 5:22 left in the third. Rylee Jones scored unassisted with 1:00 left in the third, her 100th of her career, to send the game to the fourth 14-7 Lock Haven.
 
The Bald Eagles outscored the Scots 5-0 in the fourth to set the final.
 
Kaminsky paced the Scots with three goals on six shots. She also controlled nine draws. Anderson also picked up three points on two goals and one assist. Jones finished with a goal and a helper for two points.
 
Ziola Giaramita and Haylee Wilson each notched two groundballs. Addy Ours made 11 saves in net and surpassed 400 saves for her career in the process.
 
The Scots are back in action on Wednesday when they host Slippery Rock in their home opener at 4 p.m. inside Sox Harrison Stadium.
