Women’s Lacrosse Drops PSAC West Contest to No. 21 Seton Hill

Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's lacrosse team fell 18-8 to No. 21 Seton Hill Saturday afternoon in PSAC West play inside McComb Fieldhouse.
 
The Griffins opened the scoring with a pair of goals in the first quarter going up 2-0 after a Lani Fllaan goal with 11:09 on the clock. Angelina Anderson answered for the Scots cutting the lead to 2-1 at the 10:07 mark. Seton Hill outscored Edinboro 6-2 in the rest of the first with Jacqui Detelich scoring both goals for the Scots.
 
Seton Hill scored the first four goals of the second to build a 12-3 advantage with 2:56 left in the first half. Rylee Jones and Detelich scored in the final two minutes for the Scots to cut the halftime lead to 12-5.
 
The Griffins came out of the break and scored five straight to extend the advantage to 17-5 heading to the fourth. Jones scored unassisted and Natalia Farr netted a goal with 10:35 to play to pull the Scots within 17-7 with 10:35 to play. Each team scored in the final minute to set the final at 18-8.
 
Detelich scored four goals to pace the Edinboro offense. Jones also tallied four points on two goals and two assists. Addy Ours took the loss in net making 17 saves.
 
The Scots return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Gannon for a 4 p.m. contest with the Golden Knights.
