Women’s Lacrosse Falls to No. 7 Slippery Rock

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Edinboro women's lacrosse team dropped a 24-2 decision to No. 7 Slippery Rock Wednesday afternoon in PSAC West action.
 
The Rock jumped out early outscoring the Scots 11-0 in the first quarter with six different goal scorers.
 
Natalia Farr got the Scots on the board with the first goal of the second quarter with a player advantage. Slippery Rock scored the next five goals to take a 16-1 lead into the half.
 
In the third, the Rock scored five times to push the lead to 21-1 heading to the final quarter.
 
Jacqui Detelich scored at the 13:34 mark of the fourth quarter before Claire Petty scored three times for the Rock to set the final.
 
Farr led the Scots with a goal on three shots. Detelich scored on her only shot of the game and led the team with three draw controls. Olivia Kaminsky tallied a pair of draw controls. Addy Ours took the loss in net playing the first three quarters making 14 saves.
 
The Scots return to action on Saturday when they travel to Seton Hill for a noon contest with the Griffins.
