Women’s Lacrosse Scores Non-Conference Win Over Lake Erie

Painesville, Ohio – The Edinboro women's lacrosse team scored a 14-5 victory over Lake Erie Wednesday evening in non-conference action.
 
The Storm struck first when Reese Friesen scored 1:10 into the contest. Olivia Kaminsky tied the game less than a minute later with a player up goal. This goal sparked a 7-0 run in the first with Kaminsky scoring three goals and Natalia Farr scored a pair.
 
The Scots carried the momentum into second quarter. Farr scored at the 12:51 mark to extend the lead to 8-1. Rylee Jones and Angelina Anderson each scored to push the lead to 10-1 with 11:42 left in the second.
 
The teams traded goals to the half with the Scots holding a 12-4 advantage at the break.
 
Coming out of the half, Jacqui Detelich scored twice in the third quarter to extend the lead to 14-4 after three. The Storm scored with eight seconds remaining in the fourth to set the final.
 
Farr finished the game with five points on four goals and one assist. Detelich added three goals and two helpers of her own to also notch five points. Kaminsky scored three goals and Jones tallied three points on two goals and an assist.
 
The Scots are back in action on Saturday when they host Lock Haven at noon inside Sox Harrison Stadium.
