SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's soccer team dropped a 6-0 decision to host Slippery Rock Wednesday afternoon.
The Rock struck in the 16th minute on a Peyton Los goal after her original shot hit the crossbar and ended up back on her foot. Bailey McGee scored less than two minutes later to push the lead to 2-0. Slippery Rock took that lead into the half.
Slippery Rock extended the lead in the 55th minute on a Lilia Battalini. Jilly Deivert scored her first of the season to push the lead to 4-0 in the 68th minute.
Irene Doleno and Leah Walter each scored insurance tallies to set the final.
Jada Cole paced the Edinboro offense with three shots.
Leyna Irwin added a shot.
Brianna Garey made six saves in net.
The Scots are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Pitt-Johnstown for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
