On Wednesday night the Scots shot 51.7 percent and jumped out to a 51-29 lead at the half.  The Scots grabbed their largest lead of the night at 23 points (65-42) with 13:53 to play, but West Chester made things interesting down the stretch as the contest got very physical.

The Golden Rams would use a 10-2 run cut the lead to eight on two occasions, the last at 81-73 with 3:49 remaining.  Edinboro proceeded to hold WCU scoreless the rest of the way while running off the final 13 points of the game.  The Fighting Scots made 10 of 12 free throws before Alex Moore capped the win with a three-pointer.

Theriot led the way as he powered inside for 25 points and pulled down 15 rebounds, his fifth double-double of the season.  The 6'9” junior made 6 of 8 field goals and was 13 of 15 from the line.
Isaiah Prince added 17 points, all in the first half as he battled foul trouble in the second half.  His running mate at guard, Jay Fletcher, contributed 16 points and seven assists.  Johnathan Logan had 10 points and seven rebounds, with Xavier Churnac and Moore also scoring 10 points.
Eric Frans led West Chester with 17 points and 14 rebounds.  Shannon Givens added 15 points and Troy Hockaday had 14.

Edinboro blew the game open midway through the first half.  Leading 18-16, the Scots outscored the Golden Rams 22-8 over the next seven minutes to grab a 40-24 lead with 3:49 left in the half.  Theriot accounted for the first six points, and Logan, Prince and Fletcher all hit three-pointers.  Against Cheyney the Scots were 6 of 25 from beyond the arc.  On Wednesday they were 10 of 20.

While shooting 51.7 percent from the floor, Edinboro held the Rams to 34.7 percent.  The Scots held a slim 42-40 rebounding edge, but were guilty of 19 turnovers, including 13 in the second half.  West Chester turned the ball over 13 times.
