Edinboro had opportunities to lengthen its lead before halftime, outshooting the Lakers 11-4 in the opening period, but settled for a 1-0 edge into intermission.
As the skies opened and a pouring rain greeted the players out of the locker room, the Scots took complete control. Debo scored from the far right wing past Mercyhurst's diving goalkeeper in the 55
th minute to allow Edinboro a bit of breathing room. The sophomore, who entered the day just one goal off the PSAC lead with five, found the net again less than four minutes later as
Emma Ryanmiller's header just past midfield advanced the ball to
Becca Costello who found Debo for a 3-0 lead.
Mary Murray earned her first start of the season and recorded two saves in a scoreless first half of play in net.
Meghan Kelly then came up with a pair of saves of her own in the second half as Edinboro tallied its fifth team shutout of the year.
Debo's tremendous day also included an assist on the goal by Fernandez. Costello finished with a pair of assists.
