Edinboro Drops Fall Finale at Westminster, 6-3

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 14, 2013) – The Fighting Scot women's tennis team fell to Westminster by a score of 6-3 in the final dual match of the fall season on Tuesday, Oct. 14. Edinboro posted three wins in singles competition, but the Titans swept doubles play en route to a 6-3 defeat.

Oranza Carrillo continued a strong fall season with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the no. 1 singles position over Westminster's Caitlin Hosler. Hosler came into the match with a perfect 13-0 mark on the season. Carrillo finishes the fall with a team-best 11-2 record in singles competition.

RyAnne' Baldwin and Megan Cowling also recorded victories in singles play at the no. 3 and no. 5 positions, respectively. Baldwin posted an 8-3 singles record in the fall, while Cowling finished at 5-3.

The Fighting Scots complete the fall season with a 4-3 record in dual matches. The Titans improve to 15-0 with the win.
