MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 4, 2013) – The Edinboro women's tennis team won five of six singles matches and all three double matches to claim an 8-1 triumph at Millersville on Friday afternoon. The victory leaves the Fighting Scots with a 3-1 record heading into a Saturday match at Kutztown. Millersville fell to 1-2.
Edinboro swept the doubles matches, with
Nevena Kulina and
RyAnne' Baldwin combing for a 9-8 win at number two singles. The lone loss in singles action came at number four, where Kulina was edged in three sets by Stefanie Fisher by scores of 7-5, 6-7, 10-4. The number two singles match between
Raquel Holiday and Tori Davis also went three sets, with Holiday prevailing by scores of 3-6, 6-3, 12-10.
All the other singles matches were won in straight sets, including Baldwin at number three singles and
Lydia Browne at number six winning 6-0, 6-0.
