Box Score (New/Sortable Format) WEST CHESTER, Pa. (Nov. 2, 2013) – Battling for PSAC Tournament seeding, the Edinboro women's soccer team lost to West Chester 1-0 on Saturday. The Golden Rams scored in the 81st minute and improved their record to 11-6-0 overall, 10-6-0 in the PSAC while the Fighting Scots dropped to 12-5-1 overall and 10-5-1 in the conference.

The game remained tight throughout and West Chester was able to muster more opportunities throughout the game. The Fighting Scots ended up with only one shot on goal in each half while West Chester totaled six shots on goal. The Golden Rams also had nine corner kicks in the game compared to the Scots one.

Edinboro had a chance coming into the day to become the three seed and host a PSAC Tournament game. Kutztown defeated Mercyhurst 7-1 to move ahead of the Scots.  At the end of the day though, Shippensburg tied Slippery Rock 1-1, and the Fighting Scots held the tiebreaker over the Lady Raiders after defeating them earlier this season. The loss also ended a two-game winning streak for the Fighting Scots while ending a two-game losing streak for West Chester.

On Tuesday, November 5 at 1:00 p.m., Edinboro will host Shippensburg in the first round of the PSAC Tournament. It is a match-up of the fourth and fifth seeds with the winner going on to play the winner of the California (Pa.)-Mercyhurst game.
