Four Fighting Scots scored in double figures, led by Jay Fletcher's team-high 20 points on four of seven shooting from long range to lead the 5-0 Fighting Scots to an 85-73 defeat of Bloomsburg at Nelson Field House in Bloomsburg, PA. Johnathan Logan added 16 markers, while Bryan Theriot posted 14 points. Edinboro never trailed in the game and led by as many as 30 points at 62-32 with 17:11 remaining. The Huskies battled back to within eight points on two occasions, but the Fighting Scots held on for the victory.

Pat Cleary (Edinboro '99) is in his first year as head coach of the Fighting Scots, taking over for his predecessor Greg Walcavich, who spent 24 years at the helm of the Edinboro program. Cleary previously worked as an assistant under Walcavich for 16 years, first as a student aide before becoming a full-time assistant coach. He is credited for recruiting many of Edinboro's top contributors in recent years. The first-year head coach takes over a team that finished 18-10 a year ago and reached the PSAC Tournament Semifinals. Cleary has led the Fighting Scots to a 4-3 record so far this season.

Bloomsburg: John Sanow

Career Record: 81-114, 8th year

John Sanow, Bloomsburg is in his eighth year in charge of the Huskies. Sanow is a former standout at IUP who among his stops was an assistant at nearby Gannon. In 2011-12, he produced one of the best men's basketball seasons at Bloomsburg in recent memory. He led the Huskies to a 19­-9 record, their best showing in 11 years and a share of the PSAC Eastern crown.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Edinboro
Bryan Theriot (C, 6-9, Sr.) – earned first team All-PSAC West accolades a year ago after averaging 18.1 ppg. and 8.9 rpg. Was named a preseason All-PSAC choice…Shot 55.4 percent from the floor and 87.2 percent at the line...Averaging 18.1 ppg. and team-leading 8.7 rpg. this season…Surpassed 1,000 career points in Edinboro's 95-93 loss vs. Seton Hill, now has 1,033 career points. Theriot also surpassed the 500 career rebound mark with 10 boards against Pitt-Johnstown on Nov. 23. He has posted 527 career rebounds…Leads the PSAC in FG percentage shooting 59.7 percent from the field (40 of 67)… Theriot has connected on 46 of 48 free throw attempts on the season, good for the second best percentage in the conference. He is also 311 for 358 from the free throw line in his career, which at 86.9 percent is the best career free throw percentage in school history. Roy Stauffer, who played for the Fighting Scots from 1971-74, is second all-time in this category, as he shot 86.3 percent from the free throw line for his career.

 
Jonny Marsh (G, 6-0, Jr.)  – is a first-year player for the Fighting Scots after transferring from Niagara County Comm. College. Earned PSAC West Player of the Week honors after posting back-to-back 30-plus point games on November 18th and November 23rd…ranks fourth in the PSAC, averaging 20.3 points per game after a 21-point outing in the Scots' last game at Cal…ranks second in the PSAC in 3-pt. FG percentage at 51.1 percent on the season (23 of 45)…Earned first-team all-region honors at NCCC in 2012-13, averaging 16.9 ppg and made 82 of 193 3-pointers. Leads the PSAC and Fighting Scots in scoring, averaging 21.2 points per game.


Bloomsburg
Dontahe Jordan (G/F, 6-4, R-Sr.) – is the Griffins' leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 18.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. The redshirt senior was a preseason All-PSAC East selection, after averaging 14.6 ppg. and 8.9 rpg. in 2012-13. He ranks first in the PSAC in steals per contest at 2.8. He posted a team-high 21 points against Edinboro last season. Jordan sat out the Huskies' last game vs. Shippensburg with an injury.

Lorenzo Christmas (G, 6-3, R-Sr.) – is averaging 13.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per contest for the Huskies. He recently became the s became the 27th player in Bloomsburg history to score 1,000 career points on November 20th in a win over Millersville. Christmas leads the Huskies from behind the arc, shooting 12 of 33 from long range this season.

Bryan Theriot's double-double of 28 points and 15 rebounds could not lift Edinboro over East Stroudsburg, with the Warriors earning an 85-75 win at McComb Fieldhouse. Isaiah Prince poured in 18 points, while Johnathan Logan added 12. Whis Grant led East Stroudsburg with 29 points on 8 of 14 shooting for the day.

Jeff Wilson, East Stroudsburg is a 1986 East Stroudsburg graduate and now in his 12th season at East Stroudsburg, Wilson has enjoyed great success with his alma mater. He stands second in ca­reer victories with a 191-127  mark, leading ESU to seven PSAC playo? appearances in eight years. He helped guide the Warriors to the second PSAC championship in school history in 2011-12.

East Stroudsburg
Whis Grant  (G, 6-0, Jr.) – is the Warriors' leading scorer and ranks fifth in the PSAC in this category, averaging 19.5 points per game.  The junior was named PSAC East Basketball Athlete of the Year last season, after recording 17.4 markers per contest during the regular season. Grant is also fourth in the conference in 3-pt. FG percentage, hitting at 43.2 percent (19 of 44). Grant poured in a season-high 29 points on 10 of 17 shooting in the Warriors' win at Kutztown on November 24, before tabbing back-to-back 24-point outings in East Stroudsburg's last two games against Lock Haven and Millersville.

Rasheed Moore (F, 6-6, Fr.) -  is East Stroudsburg's leading rebounder, averaging 7.4 boards per game. He ranks 11th in the PSAC in rebounding average as well. Moore posted his first career double-double with career-highs of 20 points and 16 rebounds in the Warrior's win at Lock Haven on December 4th. The
 

THE GAME STORIES
• Edinboro is in search of its first PSAC West victory of the season. The Fighting Scots come in at 0-3 in the conference for the year after a 70-65 loss at California (Pa.) on Saturday, Dec. 7th. Although games between PSAC East and West teams counted as conference games last season, these contests do not count towards league record this season. The Huskies and Warriors come into Tuesday and Wednesday sitting atop the PSAC East standings, each posting a 4-0 conference record. East Stroudsburg is currently ranked 12th in the last NCAA Division II Rankings.
 
• Wednesday's matchup features the two highest-scoring offenses in the PSAC. East Stroudsburg ranks first in the conference averaging 90.9 points per contest, while Edinboro comes in second, hitting for 85.4 points per game.
 
• Bloomsburg and East Stroudsburg rank one and two of the highest field goal percentages in the PSAC so far this season. The Warriors are shooting 48.9 percent from the field, while the Huskies are shooting at a rate of 47.7 percent.
 
• Following the Bloomsburg and East Stroudsburg games, the Fighting Scots face another difficult test at West Chester on Saturday, Dec. 21st.  The Rams are currently in third place in the PSAC East with a 3-1 conference record and a 6-2 overall mark. Game time from West Chester is slated for 3 p.m. on Saturday.
