Women's Tennis Collects 8th Straight Win in 8-1 Victory Over Fairmont State

FAIRMONT, WV – Edinboro registered its 8th consecutive dual match win with an 8-1 victory at Fairmont State Sunday afternoon.  Edinboro is now 13-3, while Fairmont State falls to 7-9.

The match started with a win for Edinboro as RyAnne' Baldwin and Kendal Stephens defeated Goldie Preston and Erin McKowa 8-1 in doubles action.  Oranza Carrillo and Angela Pelehac beat Caitlin Crutchfield and Taylor Nichols 8-4.  Nevena Kulina and Lydia Browne put the Fighting Scots up 3-0 with an 8-1 win over Kayla Sermon and Lauren Hamilton.

Carrillo collected another victory in singles action, beating Preston 8-0.  Pelehac downed Crutchfield 8-2, Stephens beat McKown 8-2.  Kulina (8-3) and Browne (8-0) rounded out the singles victories for Edinboro.

The Fighting Scots host PSAC foe California (Pa.) on Tuesday.  Cal is 6-8 on the season.
