Box Score (New/Sortable Format) CALIFORNIA, Pa. (Sept. 21, 2013) – In their first road game in over two weeks, the Edinboro women's soccer team lost to California (Pa.) 3-0. The loss drops the Fighting Scots to 3-3-0 overall on the season and 1-3 in the PSAC. The Vulcans improve to 3-2-1 on the year and 3-1 in the conference.

Following the first 45 minutes of play, the game was still tied 0-0. The Vulcans didn't wait long in the second half to start scoring, as Danielle Kearns received a pass from Erin Hogan inside the box and put it into the net at the 46:23 mark. Slightly over three minutes later, Kelsey Russo also scored on an assist from Hogan. The finally goal came in the 63^rd minute, as Russo connected once again. It was Russo's first and second goals of the season and Kearns first of the year.

The Fighting Scots struggled to generate opportunities, as they were only able to produce one shot on goal.

Next week, the Fighting Scots host Bloomsburg on Tuesday, September 24 and then travel to Lock Haven on Saturday, September 28. They are currently on a two-game losing streak.
