Coming off back-to-back losses, the Edinboro women's soccer team returns home to face the Bloomsburg Huskies on Tuesday, September 24. The Fighting Scots currently stand at an even 3-3-0 overall record and 1-3 in the PSAC while the Huskies are 3-4-0 overall with a 2-4-0 conference record.
Edinboro lost last week to Slippery Rock at home by a score of 2-1 and then were shutout by California (Pa.) 3-0. Against the Vulcans, they were still tied at 0-0 at the end of the first half, but the Fighting Scots yielded two early goals in the second half and a final one during the 63
rd minute. It was the first time Edinboro allowed three goals in over a year (September 19, 2012 against Gannon, 4-0 loss).
Bloomsburg is coming off consecutive 2-1 losses against nationally ranked East Stroudsburg and West Chester. In the last two seasons, the Huskies are a combined 3-9 on the road. Freshman forward Jenna Fisher is pacing the Huskies with three goals and seven points, both of which are tied for third in the conference.

Alex Brown has only played in four games for the Fighting Scots but leads the team with three goals and six points. Junior midfielder
Liz Debo, who is tied for second on the team with two goals, recorded a goal and assist in the Edinboro 3-0 victory last year against Bloomsburg. Junior midfielder
Allyson Overly has scored each of the past two seasons against the Huskies and the Fighting Scots are 4-0 when she scores a goal.
Edinboro has won the last two matches in this series by a combined score of 6-1. However, the Huskies lead the overall series 8-5-2.
