Box Score (New/Sortable Format) LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Picking up their first back-to-back PSAC victories of the season, the Edinboro women's soccer team defeated Lock Haven 2-0 on Saturday, September 28. The victory improves the Fighting Scots record to 5-3-0 overall, 3-3-0 in the PSAC while the Lady Eagles fall to 2-4-1 overall and in the conference.
An uneventful first half yielded no goals for either side, as there were only two shots on net, both by Edinboro. Things picked up quickly in the second half though, as
Jansen Hartmann headed in her first goal of the season less than 30 seconds into the second half. Less than ten minutes later at the 54:02 mark,
Liz Debo scored her fifth goal of the season to give the Fighting Scots what would be the final score of the game, 2-0.
Meghan Kelly notched her 14
th career shutout and more importantly, her 24
th career win, which ties her for second all-time with Amy Stevens. Kelly now only trails Kate Stukbauer by one win. Debo continues to climb up the career goal leader board and now has 26 career goals. She is seventh all-time and 11 goals behind Jamie Tekotte for first place.
The Fighting Scots return to action next Wednesday, October 2. They travel to Seton Hill for a 4:00 p.m. game.
