LAST MEETING
2013-14: February 16, 2013 - Slippery Rock 70, Edinboro 60
Edinboro had four players score in double figures at Slippery Rock but that wasn't enough to overcome the height and athleticism of The Rock. The Fighting Scots suffered a 70-60 loss to fall to 15-8 overall and 11-8 in the PSAC West. Edinboro had upset SRU, 62-59, three weeks earlier as
Isaiah Prince exploded for 28 points. This time The Rock was able to limit the senior guard to 11 points.
Jay Fletcher led the Fighting Scots with 13 points, adding seven rebounds and seven assists.
Will Marrow and
Xavier Churnac added 11 and 10 points, respectively. The Scots could not match Slippery Rock inside, particularly with
Bryan Theriot suffering his worst game of the season. The 6'9" junior was harassed into a 1-for-10 shooting performance and scored just seven points. It marked the first time he failed to score in double figures in the 18 games he had played in. The 60 points scored by Edinboro also represented a season low.
