EDINBORO, Pa. (October 27, 2014) - The Edinboro women's soccer team travels to No. 23 Kutztown on Tuesday, October 28 as the team pursues its fourth straight PSAC Tournament berth. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 1:00 p.m. The Fighting Scots enter the contest 8-6-2 overall with an 8-5-2 record in the PSAC while the Golden Bears are 12-3-0 overall and 11-3-0 in conference. Edinboro was ranked sixth in last week's Atlantic Regional poll while Kutztown was third.
If the Fighting Scots record a win or tie against the Golden Bears they will secure a spot in the PSAC Tournament. The Scots can still make the group of eight if they lose on Tuesday under a few scenarios. The simplest would be any Gannon loss would put Edinboro into the conference tournament. If Indiana (Pa.) loses both of its final two games or loses one and ties the other, then Edinboro would be in. The final team to watch is Millersville. The Fighting Scots need the Marauders to lose either of its final two PSAC games. If any of those scenarios' happen then Edinboro will be in the postseason for the fourth straight season.
