SERIES vs. CLARION: Edinboro leads 54-22Last 10 Meetings: 4-6THE GAME STORYEDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro women's volleyball team closes the 2014 campaign with a pair of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference road matches at Indiana (Pa.) and Clarion this weekend. The Fighting Scots travel to Indiana for a 7 p.m. contest on Friday, Nov. 7 before taking on host Clarion on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m.Edinboro will look to return to the win column after dropping four out of its last five matches. The Fighting Scots are coming off a 3-1 loss at the hands of visiting Seton Hill last Saturday, Nov. 1, falling to 20-11 overall and 11-9 in PSAC play on the season. IUP comes into this Friday's match with a 9-18 overall mark and is 5-15 in the conference, while Clarion sits in first place in the PSAC Western Division standings entering the weekend at 27-3 and 18-2, respectively.The loss officially eliminated Edinboro from PSAC postseason contention. The Fighting Scots last qualified for the PSAC Championship Tournament during the 2011 season. Clarion, Gannon and Seton Hill have all clinched spots in the PSAC Tournament with one spot still remaining.

Edinboro is still alive for an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional, as the Fighting Scots were ranked seventh in last week's Atlantic Regional Rankings. The NCAA regional rankings determine the participants for the NCAA Tournament at the conclusion of the conference championship tournaments. In the Atlantic region, the PSAC and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association champions receive an automatic bid to the NCAA regional, with the six highest-ranked remaining teams receiving at-large bids.

Against Seton Hill, Edinboro used 14 kills buoyed by six kills from
Tabitha Meeks to earn a 25-22 win in the first game and gain a 1-0 advantage over the Griffins. However, Seton Hill responded with three consecutive set victories thanks to a .349 hitting percentage in the final three games to earn the conference win.

Meeks paced Edinboro with 13 kills to go along with a .312 hitting percentage and 11 digs. Marett tallied a game-high 28 digs for the Fighting Scots.
Sydney Trathen dished out a team-high 21 assists, followed by
Katie Felix with 17 assists.
Challen Litwiler posted three service aces.

Jen Gruber paces the Edinboro attack with 2.52 kills per set and 285 total kills, followed by Meeks with 2.36 kills per set and 234 total kills, and
Marah Maycock 2.24 kills per game and 242 total kills.

Haley Marett leads the Fighting Scots and ranks sixth in the PSAC with 5.35 digs per set and third in the conference with 610 total digs. The senior ranks tenth among active NCAA Division II athletes with 2,044 career digs.

Sydney Trathen has tallied a team-high 7.18 assists per set, ranking 11th in the PSAC.
Maria Concheck sits 15
th in the conference with 0.85 blocks per set, while
Challen Litwiler ranks third in the PSAC with 52 total service aces.Â
