Edinboro Falls to Pitt-Johnstown in Overtime, 91-82

Henri Wade-Chatman hit a three-pointer from the corner to send the game to overtime.

connected on a pair of free throws after a UPJ turnover to give Edinboro its first lead of the half at 66-64 at the 2:53 mark.

Paul Weatherly made two free throws to tie the game at 66, before Wade-Chatman hit another shot from behind the arc to put Edinboro on top, 69-66 with 1:24 remaining in the half.

On the next UPJ possession, Bill Luther nailed a three-pointer to knot the game at 69 with just over a minute to play.

notched his fifth double-double of the season and 23rd of his career with 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

Theriot moved into 18th all-time in Edinboro history with 623 career rebounds. He also tied the career record for free throws made with 364. Dan Petchel, who played for the Fighting Scots from 1961-65, made 364 free throws for his career as well.

Logan scored 16 markers while Moore dropped in a season-high 14 points. Marsh posted a game-high nine assists.
 
Luther led all scorers with 25 points for the Mountain Cats on 9 of 16 shooting, including 7 of 11 from behind the arc. Snodgrass and Matt Palo each added 13 points, while A.J. Leahey scored 12 markers off the bench.

Edinboro jumped out to its largest lead of the night of eight, 14-6 at the 14:31 mark of the first half when Wade-Chatman hit a three-pointer.

The Mountain Cats responded with a 17-7 run to take a 23-21 lead with 9:23 to play in the opening period.

The two teams played a back-and-forth remainder of the half, resulting in an even 37-37 score at the break.

Edinboro shot 38.7 percent (29 of 75) from the field for the game, while UPJ made 29 of 59 (49.2 pct.) field goals on the afternoon, including 12 of 20 (60.0 pct) shots from long range.

The Fighting Scots edged the Mountain Cats in the rebounding column 42-41. Edinboro dished out 19 assists as a team, while surrendering only eight turnovers.

The Fighting Scots return to action at Seton Hill on Wednesday, February 5. Tip-off is set for 7:30 against the Griffins.
