Kameron Taylor's jumper as time expired lifted visiting Seton Hill to a 95-93 victory over Edinboro at McComb Fieldhouse. Bryan Theriot became the 26th Fighting Scot to score 1,000 career points in the loss. The senior finished as one of five Edinboro players in double-figures with 20 points and nine rebounds. Henri Wade-Chatman poured in a season-high 28 markers to lead all scorers. Trailing the Griffins 93-90, Johnathan Logan nailed a deep three-pointer with 16 seconds remaining to knot the contest at 93 apiece. On the next possession, Taylor connected on a fadeaway jumper from the right elbow at the buzzer to give Seton Hill the victory. Jonny Marsh and Xavier Churnac had 15 markers each, whie Logan added 13 points. The matchup marked the first PSAC contest between the two schools, with the Griffins joining the conference this season. Seton Hill led by as many as 15 points in the first half with 11:40 remaining in the opening period. Edinboro responded with a 13-2 run, bolstered by dunks from Logan and Wade-Chatman, and back-to-back buckets by Churnac, cutting the Seton Hill lead to 32-28. Later in the half, Marsh hit a three-pointer to give the Fighting Scots their first lead of the night, 45-42 with 1:26 remaining in the opening period. Edinboro held a slim 49-47 lead heading into halftime. The Fighting Scots came out strong in the second half, extending their advantage to 11 points, 66-55 at the 16:11 mark surged by three-pointers from Logan, Marsh, and Wade-Chatman.  Seton Hill would not go away, using a 20-8 run of their own to claim their first lead of the second half, 75-74 with 9:01 to play. The Griffins widened the advantage to 88-81 after a Noah Davis three-pointer with four minutes remaining. The back-and-forth contest saw its eighth tie of the night when Marsh and Wade-Chatman combined for seven consecutive points to make the score 88-88. After the two teams traded baskets, Seton Hill made three free throws to earn a three-point lead with 34 seconds to play. Logan's triple knotted the game at 93, but Taylor's jumper on the next possession sealed the win for the Griffins. Max Kenyi paced the Griffins with 20 points, followed by Taylor and Nate Perry with 17 each. Malachi Leonard and Davis added 16 and 14 markers, respectively.

Pat Cleary (Edinboro '99) is in his first year as head coach of the Fighting Scots, taking over for his predecessor Greg Walcavich, who spent 24 years at the helm of the Edinboro program. Cleary previously worked as an assistant under Walcavich for 16 years, first as a student aide before becoming a full-time assistant coach. He is credited for recruiting many of Edinboro's top contributors in recent years. The first-year head coach takes over a team that finished 18-10 a year ago and reached the PSAC Tournament Semifinals. Cleary has led the Fighting Scots to an 8-11 record so far this season.

Tony Morocco is in his 11th season in charge of the Seton Hill program. He  was hired as the University's first head men's basketball coach in 2002, leading the Griffins to a 154-139 record in that time span. Morocco led Seton Hill to a 16-12 mark in 2012-13, the team's best record since becoming a full NCAA Division II member in 2007-08. In 2003-04, the Griffins' inaugural season of men's basketball, Morocco led Seton Hill to an 18-8 overall record and a second place finish in the American Mideast Conference. He previously held coaching positions with Saint Francis (Pa.), Iowa, UNLV, St. Vincent, and most recently Point Park.  He also has professional coaching experience in the Continental Basketball Association as well as the Puerto Rican Superior League.
 
 
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Edinboro
Bryan Theriot (C, 6-9, Sr.) earned first team All-PSAC West accolades a year ago after averaging 18.1 ppg. and 8.9 rpg. Was named a preseason All-PSAC choice. Shot 55.4 percent from the floor and 87.2 percent at the line. He was named the PSAC West Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending January 12, after averaging 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in two contests.  He leads the team in scoring at 17.7 points per contest, also ranks sixth in scoring average in the PSAC. He is fifth in the league in rebounding average at 8.3 boards per game, and second in the conference in field goal percentage at 59.9 percent (118 of 197). The senior ranks 14th in school history with 1,242 career points and 18th with 623 career rebounds. Theriot is tied for the career record for free throws made with 364. He also sits at second all-time in career field goal percentage, shooting 59.0 percent from the field for his career (438 of 742).
 
Henri Wade-Chatman (G, 6-2, So.) is a first-year player for the Fighting Scots after transferring from Community College of Allegheny County. He had a team-high 22 points vs. Mercyhurst on 9 of 14 shooting. Wade-Chatman is averaging 13.8 ppg. in the Scots' last five contests and is the team's third-leading scorer at 14.6 points per game. Known as "Booka" to his teammates, Wade-Chatman is also team leader in steals with 19. He dished out a game-high eight assists with no turnovers vs. Clarion, while ranking fourth in the PSAC in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.9 (66/34), and ninth in the league in assists per game at 3.5. He is coming off a team-high 19 points against Pitt-Johnstown, knocking down five of ten shots from behind the arc.

Seton Hill
#14 Malachi Leonard (C, 6-8, Sr.) Leonard paces Seton Hill in scoring and rebounding at 17.7 points and 9.4 boards per game. He leads the PSAC in rebounding average and ranks sixth in the conference in scoring. Leonard also sits fifth in the league in field goal percentage at 56.6 percent. Leonard is coming off his worst performance of the season at Gannon, playing just 11 minutes and scoring four points before fouling out. It marked the first time all season that he failed to reach double-figures. Leonard has posted nine double-doubles this season.
 
 
#5 Kameron Taylor (G, 6-6, So.) Taylor comes in as Seton Hill's third-leading scorer at 12.3 points per game and second-leading rebounder at 6.6 board per contest. Taylor ranks 15th in the PSAC averaging 1.2 blocks per game. He has started all 20 games for the Griffins, tallying double-figure points in nine games. He also recorded a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds against Mansfield on January 4. Taylor dropped in 17 points against Edinboro earlier this season, including a game-winning jumper at the buzzer. He scored a team-high 16 points in the Griffins' loss at Gannon on Saturday.
 
THE GAME STORIES
• Edinboro is coming off a 91-82 overtime loss to Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday to fall to 1-8 in PSAC play and 8-11 overall on the season. Henri Wade-Chatman nailed a three-pointer with less than a second remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime, but the Mountain Cats dominated the bonus period to earn the PSAC victory. The Fighting Scots are 0-2 in overtime games this season.
 
• The Griffins come into the game with a 4-6 ledger in the PSAC West and a 12-8 mark on the season following a 66-53 defeat at Gannon on Saturday. Seton Hill has lost four of its last five games.
• The Fighting Scots continue the second half of the PSAC schedule against Seton Hill. Edinboro finished last season's PSAC portion of the schedule by winning seven out of its final 11 regular season contests heading into the PSAC playoffs.
 
• Seton Hill defeated Edinboro in the teams's first meeting this season on a last second jumper by Kameron Taylor, as the Griffins claimed a 95-93 victory at McComb Fieldhouse.
 
• The Griffins played without two of their top players at Gannon on Saturday in Max Kenyi and Nate Perry. Kenyi played in all 19 contests prior to the Gannon contest, ranking second on the team in scoring at 12.7 points per game, while Perry has not played since Seton Hill battled Clarion on January 18. Perry is the fourth-leading scorer on the team at 8.4 points per contest. Kenyi dropped in a team-high 20 points on seven of nine shooting against Edinboro in the teams' last meeting.
 
Bryan Theriot moved into 18th all-time in Edinboro history with 623 career rebounds following his fifth double-double of the season with 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds against Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday. It marked the 23rd double-double of his career. He also tied the career record for free throws made with 364. Dan Petchel, who played for the Fighting Scots from 1961-65, also made 364 free throws in his career.
 
Henri Wade-Chatman has been coming on strong as of late for Edinboro, scoring in double-figures in five of the last six contests, including a team-high 19 points last game. Wade-Chatman has dished out 13 assists in the past two games while surrendering just one turnover.
 
• The Fighting Scots were picked to finish eighth in the Western Division while Seton Hill was picked to finish seventh in the PSAC West in the conference preseason poll.
