Women's Tennis Drops Match to Roberts Wesleyan, 6-3

ERIE, Pa. (March 14, 2014) - The Edinboro women's tennis team fell to Roberts Wesleyan on Friday afternoon by a score of 6-3 at the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie, PA. The Fighting Scots move to 5-5 on the season while the Redhawks improve to 11-5. 

Oranza Carrillo boosted her singles record to 13-3 on the season with a 6-1, 6-3 defeat over Tina Miller at no. 1 singles, while Julia Hellstern (3-0) continued a strong spring campaign with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at no. 3 singles over Fatima Outtara. 

The duo of RyAnne' Baldwin and Hellstern also picked up a win in doubles competition with an 8-6 win over Maria Jiminez and Camilla Linhart at the no. 2 doubles. 

The Fighting Scots next travel to Hilton Head Island for their annual spring break trip. Edinboro takes on Benedict College on March 16 in its first match.
