HILTON HEAD ISLAND, Sc. (March 22, 2014) – The Fighting Scot women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to undefeated Northwood (MI) in its final match of its spring break trip to Hilton Head Island, SC on Saturday morning. Edinboro falls to 8-6 with the loss, while the Timberwolves improve to 18-0 on the season.
Oranza Carrillo boosted her record to 15-3 in singles play with a 7-6, 0-6, 11-9 triumph at no. 1 singles over Anastasia Puchkina.
Julia Hellstern continued a perfect season (6-0) in singles competition with a 7-5, 6-0 victory at the no. 2 singles position against Anastasiia Kazub.
The Fighting Scots return to action at California (Pa.) on March 25. The matchup with the Vulcans is slated to begin at 2 p.m.
