SOUTH PARK, Pa. (March 25, 2014) – The Fighting Scot women's tennis team fell 9-0 to PSAC foe California (PA) on Tuesday night at the Glen Greek Tennis Club in South Park, Pa. The Vulcans came into the match as the top-ranked team in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division II Atlantic Regional Rankings, as well as 12^th in the latest National Rankings. Edinboro moves to 8-7 with the loss, while California improves to 3-2.

The Vulcans featured the first and second-ranked players in the region in singles play in Lucie Sipkova and Ramona Czakon. Oranza Carrillo, ranked 19^th in the region, collected five points in two sets against Sipkova at no. 1 singles, but could not come up with the victory.

The Fighting Scots return to action on Thursday, March 27 at Slippery Rock. The matchup with The Rock is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
