SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. (March 31, 2014) – The Edinboro women's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision to host Slippery Rock on Monday night in Slippery Rock, PA. The match was started on its originally scheduled date of March 27, but poor weather conditions forced the contest to be completed tonight. The Fighting Scots fall to 8-9 on the season with the loss, while The Rock improves to 9-8.
Julia Hellstern boosted her record to 8-1 on the season with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 win by tiebreaker at no. 2 singles, while
Nevena Kulina and
Megan Cowling also picked up victories in singles play.

RyAnne' Baldwin earned the lone Fighting Scot triumph in doubles competition with an 8-4 win at the no. 2 position.
Edinboro returns to action tomorrow, hosting Clarion at 2 p.m.
