Fighting Scots Carve Split at Seton Hill

(April 8, 2014) – Edinboro tallied 11 hits in the second game of a PSAC West doubleheader at Seton Hill on Tuesday afternoon, picking up an 8-1 victory and earning a split for the day. The Griffins topped the Fighting Scots in the first game by a score of 5-1. Edinboro moved to 7-11 overall and 2-4 in PSAC West play, while Seton Hill stands at 14-8 and 4-6 in the conference.

The Fighting Scots wasted no time getting on the board in the nightcap, as
Kylie Mason
was saddled with the loss for the Fighting Scots, twirling all six innings and allowing five runs on nine hits with two walks.

Christine Henderson picked up the complete game win for the Griffins, allowing one run on seven hits in seven innings of work. Henderson fanned ten batters and walked two.

Edinboro returns to action tomorrow, April 9, traveling to Slippery Rock for a pair of PSAC West contests. The first pitch is set for 2:30 p.m. against The Rock.
