GAME STORY
Edinboro enters this Thursday's NCAA Tournament game as the number four seed in the Atlantic Region. The Fighting Scots are coming off a 3-2 loss to Shippensburg in the PSAC Semifinals on November 20. Edinboro is making its second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, facing PSAC foe Clarion in the first round for a second straight year.

Edinboro will be seeking revenge against Clarion in Thursday's match with The Golden Eagles after Clarion eliminated the Fighting Scots in the 2014 NCAA Tournament with a 3-0 victory in the first round. The Golden Eagles went on to lose in the second round after advancing past Edinboro.
The Fighting Scots had one of the best seasons in school history this year, achieving multiple milestones. Edinboro finished in first place in the PSAC West for the first time since 1997 and made their first appearance in the PSAC Tournament since 2011. Edinboro won 30 games for the first time since 2010 and for only the sixth time in program history. During the regular season, the Fighting Scots rattled off 15-straight victories, one win short of tying the school record.

Edinboro took home three of the four major PSAC postseason awards this season, including PSAC West Coach of the Year (Missy Soboleski), PSAC West Athlete of the Year (Challen Litwiler) and PSAC West Freshman of the Year (Megan Screptock).

Edinboro is appearing in the NCAA Tournament for a second consecutive year and the 17th time overall. The Fighting Scots look to make their first Elite Eight appearance under head coach Missy Soboleski. Edinboro has appeared in the Elite Eight four times in school history, last in 2002.
