The Edinboro University men's basketball team hosts PSAC West opponent Indiana (Pa.) on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in McComb Fieldhouse. Edinboro will hold its Toys for Tots Day, with fans receiving free admission with the donation of a new and unwrapped toy.

The Fighting Scots are 6-3 overall and in first place in the PSAC West with a 6-1 conference record. They were ranked ninth in the latest D2SIDA Atlantic Region poll. The Boro looks to take down the Crimson Hawks for the second straight time after defeating the 16th-ranked and eventual NCAA Division II runners up last season in overtime, 79-77. That snapped a 13-game losing streak to the Crimson Hawks. IUP leads the all-time series against Edinboro, 95-73, in a series that dates back to the 1928-29 season.

The Fighting Scots extended their PSAC win streak to five games Wednesday night with a 105-102 double-overtime win against Gannon at McComb Fieldhouse. It marked Edinboro's first win over the Golden Knights since the 2012-13 season and their first home win against them since the 2010-11 season. It was also head coach Pat Cleary's first career victory over Gannon.

The Golden Knights are the latest casualty in Edinboro's PSAC win streak that includes Mansfield, Mercyhurst, East Stroudsburg, and West Chester. The Fighting Scots' other PSAC win was against Slippery Rock in the season opener and their lone conference loss was against Kutztown, who is tied with West Chester for first in the PSAC East. They dropped non-conference games to Lake Erie and Daemen.

Redshirt sophomore guard Jaymon Mason led the Scots against Gannon with 35 points. Four Edinboro players scored in double digits, including senior guard Henri Wade-Chatman, who added 24 points to his career total. He is 27th all-time at Edinboro with 1,044 career points and 22 points shy from reaching 26th all-time. Senior center Daryan Robinson came off the bench and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds while scoring eight points.

Wade-Chatman and Mason lead the PSAC's highest scoring backcourt tandem, combining for 42.4 ppg. Mason is the PSAC's leading scorer with 23.1 ppg., as well as leading the conference in free throw percentage at 93.7 percent (59-for-63). He ranks 14th in the PSAC in field goal percentage at 45.7 percent (63-for-138). Senior center Tommy Scales is ninth in the PSAC in rebounding (8.2 rpg.) and is ninth in the PSAC in field goal percentage at 50.0 percent (47-for-94). He is third on the team with 13.2 ppg.

Junior guard Sheldon Brogdon has become one of Edinboro's top bench players, appearing in all nine games and averaging 9.3 ppg. After a slow start to the season, Brogdon has averaged 14.2 ppg. in the last five games, including scoring a season-high 19 points at Mercyhurst. He is 37.0 percent from 3-point range (17-for-46).

Last Time Out
12/16/15 – Edinboro 105, Gannon 102 (2OT)
It took two overtime periods, but Edinboro ended its four-game losing streak against Gannon. It also marked the Scots' first home win over Gannon since 2010-11 and head coach Pat Cleary's first career win against the Golden Knights. The Golden Knights led by as much as 11 points (31-20) with 6:28 to go in the first half, until Edinboro went on a 22-3 run and scored 25 of the next 29 points to lead at halftime, 45-35. Despite losing Henri Wade-Chatman to fouls 20 seconds into the first overtime, Edinboro led twice, each by one point, before a layup by Jean Yves Toupane gave Gannon the lead, 91-90, with 2:41 remaining in the first overtime. A free throw by Michael Beck with 0:34 on the clock was the only point scored in the remainder of the first overtime to send the game to double overtime tied at 91. Double overtime began with three lead changes, with a layup by Je'Land Head and a jumper by Jaymon Mason giving the Boro the lead twice in that span. With the game tied at 100 with 2:04 remaining, Edinboro held Gannon to just two points the rest of the way. Mason scored 10 points in double overtime. His back-to-back 3-pointers put the Scots ahead for good, 103-100, with 1:48 remaining. He finished the night with a game-high 35 points, shooting 9-for-19 from the floor, including 3-of-9 3-pointers, and connecting on 14-of-15 free throws. The Vulcans cut their deficit to six at 54-48 with 3:55 remaining, but that would be as close as Cal would get.
