• Edinboro has dropped two games in a row coming into Wednesday's matchup with Slippery Rock. The Fighting Scots fell by a score of 66-61 at home against Gannon last Wednesday, before dropping a 61-53 decision at Mercyhurst on Saturday.• Edinboro sits in seventh place in the PSAC Western Division with an 8-11 PSAC mark and has four conference contests to play beginning with The Rock on Wednesday. Three of the six PSAC Tournament spots in the Western Division still remain, as No. 18 Indiana (Pa.), Gannon and Mercyhurst have all clinched a spot in the postseason. Slippery Rock owns an 11-6 conference ledger, good for fourth place in the division. The Rock can clinch a postseason berth with a win Wednesday.
• Slippery Rock came out on top in the teams' first meeting this season by a score of 69-65. The Rock has won four consecutive games against the Fighting Scots as well as nine of the last 10 meetings.
• Henri Wade-Chatman ranks second in the conference in scoring at 19.0 points per game, while Casey Baker paces Edinboro and sits 13th in the PSAC in rebounding at 6.5 boards per contest.
• Slippery Rock enters tonight's game as the top rebounding team in NCAA Division II, outrebounding its opponents by an average margin of +13.6 boards per game. The Rock has outrebounded its opponents in 17 of 21 games this season. Slippery Rock especially attacks the offensive boards, pacing the country with 18.6 offensive rebounds per contest.
• The Fighting Scots are 8-3 at home this season, while The Rock is 4-5 on the road.

• The series dates back to the 1928-29 season.
• The Rock has claimed nine out of the last ten meetings between the two teams, including four wins a row. Edinboro last defeated Slippery Rock during the 2012-13 campaign at McComb Fieldhouse by a score of 62-59.
• Slippery Rock edged the Fighting Scots 69-65 earlier this season at Morrow Fieldhouse.

12/3/14 - Slippery Rock 69, Edinboro 65
• Trailing by six at 63-57 with 36 seconds remaining in the contest, Will Marrow converted an old-fashioned three-point play to shrink the Slippery Rock lead to three at 63-30.
• However, this is as close as the Fighting Scots would come, as The Rock used a 7-2 run to build its lead to seven at 69-62 with five seconds to play.
• Henri Wade-Chatman knocked down a three-pointer at the buzzer to cut the final score to 69-65.
• Wade-Chatman led all players with 25 points, connecting on 8 of 20 field goals on the night. The 6'2'' guard made 4 of 9 shots from behind the arc and hit 5 of 8 free throws for the Fighting Scots to go along with six rebounds and three assists.
• Jaymon Mason added 12 markers, shooting 4 of 14 from the field, including 2 of 5 on three-point attempts. Tommy Scales tied a game-high with nine boards to pace Edinboro.
• Frank Holloway was the only player to score in double-figures for The Rock, tallying 19 points on 7 of 15 shooting while pulling down eight rebounds. Kelvin Goodwin followed with nine markers. Six Slippery Rock players scored at least eight points in the win.
The Coaches
Edinboro - Pat Cleary (Edinboro '99)
• Cleary is in his second year as head coach of the Fighting Scots, leading Edinboro to an 21-26 record in that time.
• Cleary took over for his mentor Greg Walcavich, who spent 24 years at the helm of the Edinboro program.
• He previously worked as an assistant under Walcavich for 16 years, first as a student aide before becoming a full-time assistant coach.
• Cleary is credited for recruiting many of Edinboro's top contributors in recent years. (More complete bio on pg. 10)
SRU - Kevin Reynolds (Bloomsburg '91)
• Reynolds is in his seventh year in charge of Slippery Rock's program, showing a record of 131-68 record in that time.
• He is a former assistant coach at Edinboro under Greg Walcavich. In 2008, Reynolds inherited a program that had not produced a winning season since the 1999-00 season. He guided The Rock to a 21-8 record in his first season and a PSAC semifinal berth. For his efforts, Reynolds was named the 2008-09 Pennsylvania State Athletics Conference Western Division Coach of the Year.
• Reynolds assumed the reigns of the Rock program after serving as an assistant coach at Morehead State, the Univ. of Denver, Penn State, Drake, Edinboro, and IUP.
• Reynolds owns a 10-3 career record against Edinboro.
Last Time Out
2/7/15 - Mercyhurst 61, Edinboro 53
• An 0-for-15 shooting drought and a Mercyhurst second half run plagued the Edinboro men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon, as the Fighting Scots fell by a score of 61-53 to the host Lakers.
• With 11:38 to play in the first half, a Will Marrow jumper gave Edinboro a 13-8 advantage. The Fighting Scots then missed 15 consecutive shots over a span of nearly nine minutes of action.
• Fortunately for Edinboro, Mercyhurst made just 4-of-17 field goals during that time and held a 17-16 lead when Jaymon Mason ended the dry spell with a 3-pointer at the 2:47 mark of the first half. Sheldon Brogdon converted a layup to give the Fighting Scots an 18-17 advantage at the break.
• In the second half, Edinboro held that one-point lead at 27-26 with 14:25 to play in the game, before the Lakers constructed a 13-2 run gain a 39-29 advantage with 10:11 showing on the clock.
• The Fighting Scots were unable to come any closer than six points from that point, as Mercyhurst held on for an eight-point win.
• Mason paced Edinboro with 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting and a 4-of-5 performance from the free throw line. Henri Wade-Chatman added 14 points making 5-of-14 field goals while matching a team-high with four rebounds.
2/4/15 – Slippery Rock 56, Mercyhurst 51
• Slippery Rock grinded out a victory over visiting Mercyhurst Morrow Field House in a battle of two of the top teams in the PSAC West.
• The Rock held the Lakers to 32.1 percent (18-of-56) shooting for the game, including 28.6 percent (8-of-28) in the first half. The Lakers did not make their first basket until the 13:44 mark on a Damon Jones layup. However, Slippery Rock also struggled from the field, shooting just 24.1 percent (7-of-29) in the half and 28.8 percent (18-of-52) for the game.
• With Mercyhurst holding a 51-50 advantage with 1:25 to play, Slippery Rock would score the final six points of the game, all on free throws. The Lakers' last four possessions ended in a pair of misses and two turnovers.
• The game was decided at the free throw line, as Slippery Rock made 23-of-31 from the charity stripe while Mercyhurst was 10-for-17. In addition, SRU, the top rebounding team in the country, controlled the glass 45-35. That included 17 offensive rebounds, although the Lakers had 13 themselves.
• Antonio Butler was the lone Slippery Rock player in double figures, pouring in 22 markers to go along with a team-high seven rebounds.

• The Rock is in fourth place in the PSAC Western Division with an 11-6 mark in conference play. Slippery Rock can clinch a PSAC Tournament berth with a win against Edinboro.
• The Rock comes into Wednesday as the top rebounding team in NCAA Division II with a rebounding margin of +13.6 boards per contest. The last time these two teams met, Slippery Rock held a 56-41 rebounding advantage. The -15 rebounding deficit represents the second largest for the Fighting Scots this season.
• 13 of Slippery Rock's 15 players are transfers, including leading scorer Antonio Butler, who is averaging 15.6 points per game for The Rock. He is in his second season at Slippery Rock after playing two seasons at Garrett College in Maryland.
• Some other notable transfers include leading rebounder Cornelius Brown (Barton County CC), Kelvin Goodwin (West Liberty), Allen Jiles (Idaho), Malcolm Richardson (East Stroudsburg), Frank Holloway (Garrett), Jamal Gatali (Marshalltown) and Erik Raleigh (Central Connecticut State).
